FUNDIMTAANI: BUILDING A MARKETPLACE FOR LOCAL FUNDIS

FundiMtaani connects clients in Kenya with verified local fundis — the plumbers, electricians, carpenters and technicians every neighbourhood depends on. Clients find help they can trust; fundis get a structured way to be discovered.

The interesting engineering is in the join flow. A fundi's application is tied to their account, so they can start, leave, and resume exactly where they stopped after logging back in — without creating duplicates. Photos and documents are stored with the application itself, and contact runs over WhatsApp and email.

The site is currently in pre-launch maintenance mode while the finishing touches land. Building in the open, one verified fundi at a time.
